Information about our upcoming concert can be found below:

Veterans Day Concert – Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 –
St. Francis Xavier Church – 7p

Medina:  The Medina Community Band, under the baton of Marcus Neiman, David Roth, and, Vicki Smith will present their annual Veterans Day Concert – We Stand United on Wednesday, November 8th, at 7p, at St. Francis Xavier Church, 606 East Washington Street, Medina. There is no admission charge for the program and free parking is available.

Medina Community Band will perform works by Edward Elgar’s Nimrod; Karl King’s marches Bonds of Unity and We Stand United; Douglas Wagner’s arrangement of To Reap the Blessings of Freedom (a medley of hymns of our Armed Forces); Jerry Lowden’s arrangement of Armed Forces Salute; and, Sousa’s marches Hail to the Spirit of Liberty and The Stars and Stripes Forever.

Medina Community Band is sponsored by the Medina Community Band Association composed of members of The Medina Community Band who proudly supports the community band.

Featured speakers will be: Mike Kovack, Medina County Auditor, (US Navy, Commander, retired); Dennis Hanwell, mayor, City of Medina; Adam Friedrick, Medina County Commissioner (US Marine, Veteran); Jim Hoessle, Medina County Veterans Service Commissioner (US Army, Vietnam Veteran); and, The Rev. Father Anthony Sejba, Medina St. Francis Xavier Church.

Organizers will have boxes available for those interested in making a donation to collect nonperishable canned goods or monetary donations to benefit the Saint Vincent DePaul Society. Additional parking is available at 600 East Smith Road and 620 East Smith Road.


The committee organizing the event include: Dennis Hanwell – Mayor – City of Medina; Marcus Neiman – Conductor – Medina Community Band; Reverend Father Anthony Sejba – St. Francis Xavier Church; and, Ed Zackery – Medina County Veterans Service.
